George Symonette

George Symonette was a tall Bahamian known as the “King of Goombay”. He was a pharmacist, an avid sportsman, participated in Junkanoo, and was a talented pianist with a unique style. George was said to be a very good Entertainer with wonderful humor. He worked in the local Night Clubs, and top hotels and recorded many songs, it is said “in a style of his own”.
