Edison "Ed" Armbrister

The 3rd. male from the Bahamas to play Major League Baseball. Playing outfield with the Cincinnati Reds, Ed won 2 World Series rings, one in 1975 and one in 1976. The controversy of his 1975 World Series “Sacrifice Bunt” and his collision with the Boston Red Sox catcher brought in the winning run for Cincinnati which, today, still has fans up in arms. In his home town, Ed’s photo has been added to the Wall of Fame at the Lynden Pindling International Airport.
