A Bahamian who, at the age of 17, became leader of the Junkanoo group called the Saxons, later known as the Shell Saxons Superstars. “Vola,” the group’s artistic designer and costume builder, also added singer/songwriter to his credits. For his dedication and achievements, he has received many honours and awards. Throughout the years, he has taken his group to higher heights and continues to contribute to Junkanoo throughout the Bahamas and the world. “Vola” has been branded as “The King of Junkanoo.”
