Richard "Sweet Richard" Dean
A Bahamian was deemed “The King of Junkanoo” by Bahamian historians. He was a butcher by profession but was more interested in the Night Club Life. Although he was known for Junkanoo, his main act was the Limbo. Wearing short pants, a cape, a dagger in his mouth, and a cutlass in his hand, he performed for the tourists on Bay Street as they left the Cruise ships and also for the Bahamians in the popular Night Clubs. His life was the stage.
